InterGenerate builds strong communities on a healthy planet.
Creating environmental and social sustainability around shared concerns for food security, InterGenerate reaches across traditional social boundaries to bring people together to grow our food locally, sharing the work while deepening ties to each other.
InterGenerate is founding both community and communal gardens and promoting local resourcing throughout Westchester County.
InterGenerate is an initiative for environmental and social sustainability in Northern Westchester. We promote the use of local resources and network to bring people together across a variety of diversities.
The United States, once the breadbasket of the world, is now a net food importer. InterGenerate creates the opportunity for Westchester residents to grow their own food.
Gardening is an excellent way to address many of the problems we currently face. For instance:
Gardening provides access to fresh food at nearly no cost.
When we eat locally, we don't tax the Earth with unnecessary transportation.
Organic growing also keeps the Earth and our food safe.
Sourcing/Growing our food locally creates greater food security.
Community gardening builds and strengthens communities across a variety of diversities that usually divide us.
InterGenerate is a volunteer organization always open to help of all kinds. Join us!
